The Giver: "Stirrings"

In the novel " The Giver" by Lois Lowry, where those grow up in a society. What they do is being constantly watched, being considered an adult at the age of twelve, where you hormones are out of control at such an adolesent stage. In "The Giver", Jonas had a dream and was wanting to bathe his friend Fiona, he usually never dreams. Jonas felt different, he wanted and had a longing for Fiona. when someone has a sensual dream it is called "stirrings" you are ordered to take a pill each and every morning to make sure you don't have those so called "stirrings." Our body grows, our feelings and hormones start to change. We become familiar to the opposite sex, are relationships are based on the feeling of love. Taking pills, in order to control feeling and emotions that are natural and apart of growing up. You shouldn't be forced to take away something that we develop over time with someone special.
